I am looking for work or work experience and would be happy with either studio or freelance work.

 

I'm a 2D animator and artist, looking for experience in the animation or general creative industry. I create 2D animations and characters that are often animal-like or human, but have strange or quirky characteristics. I have a lot to learn and I find that exciting, I enjoy the narrative aspects of animation and the way it brings my characters to life, hence why I'm naturally attracted to character animation. I'm also interested in background design and illustration, as it often aids communication of the story within animation. Animation and drawing give me mediums to express the ideas that I have, creatively, similarly to creative writing, creating characters and wrapping narrative and other design aspects around them such as sound and background design, creates a canvas conposed of elements that I can use to create still or moving images that tell a story.

 

I'm gaining a lot of experience animating and drawing in Photoshop and After effects and although I have dabbled in Stop-motion and digital 3D, 2D animation kind of feels like home to me. I also have experience in fine art and design, as well as compositing and some sound editing.

 

I am influenced by 2D Disney classics such as the Lion King, artists such as Joanna Quinn, The bigger animators on youtube such as Sam Green Media, Element Animation and a lot of other independant artists, shows like Spongebob Squarepants, Adventure time, Looney Toons, Futurama and Anime (In general),  and a large amount of work created by/for Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and psyop
